Primavera was the name of the design studio, created in 1912 by Le Printemps, the Parisian department store. Their goal was to make modern decorative objects more accessible to the public and they became the first department store to collaborate with artists and designers to create their own line. By the 1920s, Primavera had become very successful, they were known for their sophisticated Art Deco designs and they worked with several well known artists of the time, including Claude Levy (1895-1942).
