An attractive still life painting by this well known Italian artist presented in a beautiful gilt frame with linen mount.


Sante Monachesi was a prolific Italian artist known for his innovative contributions to 20th century Italian art. He became a founding member of the Futurist Group Umberto Boccioni, a futurist movement of Le Marche. Following this his career began to flourish and he participated in the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1937, the Venice biennale in 1938 and a show at the Art Department of Columbia University in New York. In 1939, he also exhibited at the III Quadriennale in Rome.
