These fantastic portraits were taken during the 1950s, '60s and '70s by Ian Harris, during his long career as a photo journalist for the UK newspaper the Daily Mirror - now known as the Mirror.

First published in 1903, during the 1960s the daily circulation was over 5 million copies - never repeated by it or any other daily newspaper in Britain since.
