Circa 1798 French set of Toile de Beautiran "Dites Merci" Manufacturer J.P Meillier et Cie bed hangings for a Lit à La Duchesse.So rare to find such a complete set with it's bedcover, pelmets and bed hangings including the pair of narrow panels 'bonnes-grâces for the sides at the head of the bed. Beautiful red with strong crisp printing. A delight!

 In good antique as found condition with some pieces a stronger red, so not a uniform colour across the whole set.


Some pieces have a small amount of sun discolouration.Scattered faded mildew spots on some panels.With a few old darns and patched repairs.
