A wonderful circa 1740-50 French madder rose block printed resist on a grainy siamoise (linen and cotton) textile.A wonderful design of large scale stylised flower heads surrounded bypatterned leaves and flowers.In an as found antique andoverall very good condition with some historic darns and a few old small faded stains and rust marks.It has at some point been machine stitched together with the borders made up of pieced together sections.
