Circa 1790s French block printed madder rose resist cotton quilt of stylised leaf shapes filled with a now faded bleu de pastel design.The madder rose ground is filled with a lovely pattern of twisting meanderingpatterns of leaves and flowers.In an as found antique condition with some splits in the cotton here and there and on some of the quilts edges.The bleu de pastel colour is very faded but stonger on some leaves than others.
