Extremely rare sculpture in brass and agate, by Henri Fernandez for atelier Duval Brasseur, modelled as a Longhorn Beetle and dating to the 1970’s.

The beautiful blue agate wings are set within the large brass body, and illuminated from below by a single E14 bulb.

An absolutely stunning piece of brutalist art sculpture by one of the most sought after designers of this era.

Provenance:

This piece was sourced from one of the World's largest private collections of Henri Fernandez sculpture, the collector was a personal friend of Fernandez who frequently visited his home, and was also a friend of Jacques Duval-Brasseur and Richard and Isabelle Faure.
