A quite exceptional floor lamp by the highly acclaimed Mexican artist and sculptor Mario Lopez Torres, the enormous metal frame and chuspata woven design stands at over 1.8 Metres tall and features the large perched monkey, with the trademark brass face, and wirework fingers and toes.

The button of authentication which is attached to all genuine Mario Lopez Torres sculptures and works of art is present on the lamp base.

Born in Mexico City in 1952 Mario Lopez Torres is today one of the most collectible and sought after designers in lighting and furniture, and his use of natural materials and traditional techniques make his pieces highly prized by many of today's leading interior designers.

This incredible floor lamp is in superb condition and one of the very few pieces by Mario Lopez Torres available in the UK.
