An incredibly rare and highly ornate polychrome painted Palm Tree form lamp, in wrought iron. This stunning French lamp dates to the first half of the 20th century and is circa 1930's - 40's, and features four palm trees of ascending size, the tallest standing at over 212cm in height. The main Palm leaf canopy holds 3 lamp holders, each of which takes an e27 (large screw in bulb).


All four Palm trunks sit upon waved iron tripod legs.


For reference: a pair of identical lamps sold at auction by Christie's in 2010 achieved a hammer price of $30,000.
