An Excellent Large Scale French Ebonised Bureau Plat or Writing Table c.1950.

This ebonised table is of impressive, large scale. It has cast ormolu mounts of excellent quality in the Louis XVI neoclassical manner. There are two pull out slides with inset leather, and the top also retains the original crimson tooled leather insert. It is similar to documented examples produced by the likes of Maison Jansen during this period.
