Travelling chess set fashioned within a scarlet and gilt tooled morocco leather binding with marbled page edges, entitled History Bonaparte. The spine of the book slides up to unlock the book to hinge open to reveal the chess board. The inlaid chess board inlaid with boxwood and ebony, complete with a set of miniature chess pieces which slot into the board. The pieces contained in a drawerstring bag.
