A turned mahogany coaster of good profile, unusually this coaster is lead lined in the manner of a cellaret, the base with baise to prevent scratches to the dining table.
British, early 19th century.


Photographed with a magnum (2 bottles) of wine standing in the coaster, this coaster would accommodate most double magnums too, however the Bordeaux Jeroboam photographed in the back of the photo, which holds 5 litres, is slightly too big to fit!
