This is an antique 4 volume book set - A History of British Furniture by Percy Macquoid. An English, bound antiques reference guide, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1908.


Authored by Percy Macquoid (1852 - 1925), a British illustrator, magazine contributor and stage designer, his subdivision of furniture into the individual timbers has become a standard other titles follow. The four volumes are: The Age of Satinwood (260 pages); The Age of Oak (243); The Age of Walnut (247); and The Age of Mahogany (271 pages).
