This is a tall antique portico coat stand. An English, heavy cast iron reception hall hat or umbrella rack, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.



  • Superb, late Victorian stand, with appealing proportion and Art Nouveau taste

  • Displays a desirable aged patina, lightly time worn throughout

  • Robust cast iron form, with a substantial weight of 25kg (55.11 lb)

  • Finished in a tasteful Old English white paint

  • Acanthus form finial stands prominently above the whole, at a height of 6' 2"
