This is an antique executive desk book slide. An English, walnut and burr extending bookrest, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.



  • Beautifully appointed slide with an attractive presentation for favoured titles

  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

  • Select walnut to the ends show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues

  • Burr walnut plinth with superb figuring and ebonised, tiered edge

  • Each end extends outwards to add further space for books
