This is an antique fitted silver chest. An English, oak and bound iron shipping trunk, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.



  • Fascinating bound example, with superb Victorian storage appeal

  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

  • Select oak stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues

  • Profusely bound with cast iron braces to each corner


 



  • Shallow lid hosts remnants of mid 20th century travel labels
