This is an antique ovoid clock dome. An English, glass and mahogany taxidermy display showcase, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.



  • Fascinating form, useful for hosting a clock, ornament or small taxidermy specimen

  • Quality, clear glass in an ovoid form, with dome top and straightened sides

  • Green protective baize to the plinth, the underside with a tantalisingly indistinct reference to Marquis

  • The whole stands upon a quartet of small bun feet
