This is a very large 7' 6" antique pedestal sideboard. An English, mahogany dresser cabinet with mirror, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.

Striking country house proportion and craftsmanship, with wonderful colour
Displays a desirable aged patina — minimal foxing to the mirror plate
Select stocks present wonderful grain interest
The radiant colours of russet hues shine through the wax polish finish

Wide dressing mirror back rest with scroll carved wings
Generous sideboard top with tiered plinth over a prominent chamfered edge
Useful central drawer with lobe carved detail hosting a blind pull
Bow front shape repeats in the lower plinth insert uniting the twin pedestals

Pair of cabinets of domed field panel finish, dressed with working locks — key present
Left pedestal hosting an upper drawer and a pair of robe slides below
Opposite, the upper drawer joined by a deep cocktail drawer with lead-lined insert
Standing upon a continuous plinth base to each pedestal, with break-rear form to reverse
