This is a framed, maritime scene oil painting by the renowned marine and equine artist David Chambers. 'Gathering' is an original, oil on board painting from David’s recent collection.

Two small rowboats congregate to the same location, in hope of catching a bountiful streak. The crew of the blue boat work together to pull in the catch net, whilst the lone member of the red vessel looks on, forlorn. Are they working together, or is this a scene of an opportunity lost? As with other examples of David's work, this piece invites interpretation.
