This is a set of 8 antique dining chairs. An English, walnut carver and seat with upholstered cushions, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Graced with delightful walnut stocks and of appealing form
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Warm caramel hues to the select walnut beneath a wax polish finish
Further distinguished with fine grain interest throughout
Two dashing carvers accompany a suite of six chairs
Traditionally stuffed cushions, dressed with a quality upholstery and adorned with press stud trim
Distinctive, pierced sash-shape upper rail adorned with carved motif
Decorated lower sash and supports with foliate patera carvings
Long, graceful arms to the carver sit upon turned and fluted supports
Sash lower apron with carved shell to centre, flanked with scrolled brackets
Front legs repeat the flute column finish with a pair of turned collars
Square section rear legs united to the fore with a H-stretcher rail
