Stunning English 19th Century gothic centre table, circa 1830. This table features an octagonal top of segmented veneered walnut. The top is over-painted with wonderful faux tree bark decoration around the edge.
The top is supported on a waisted column support featuring a gothic lancet collar and a band of rosettes. The whole rests on a concave-sided quadriform base. Each corner of the base features a pronounced octagonal terminal with carved rosettes to the tops and inset castors below.
This handsome table has a strong geometric presence, with fantastic colour and graining. It will provide a statement centrepiece in any room.
