A large pair of Empire console tables with green marble tops and large scale ormolu mounts.
With symmetrical eagle motifs on the legs and in the bottom centre, the style and symbolism on these tables are typical of Empire furniture.
These tables are beautiful, with rigid lines and heavy ornamentation. The green marble tops make this pair particularly unique as marble tops were almost always grey, black or occasionally white during this period.
