A magnificent example of late 17th-century craftsmanship, this English black lacquered cabinet on stand offers both functional storage and exquisite aesthetic appeal. Dating from circa 1690, the piece features a distinctive black lacquered finish, with a beautifully carved, solid ebony stand in the Chinese style.


The cabinet opens to reveal 10 drawers of varying sizes, the drawers are made from solid oak, expertly dovetailed for durability, and finished with ebonised fronts for added visual interest.
Each drawer pulls smoothly, with brass ring handles.


The front of the cabinet is adorned with large pierced brass hinges and an intricately designed escutcheon, with a working lock and key.
