A striking pair of Late Victorian open bookcases, finished in a deep, black ebonised polish.


Each bookcase features a square form with classical lines, showcasing two height adjustable shelves framed within a beautifully proportioned structure. The ebonised surfaces present a rich depth, enhanced by subtle wear that contributes to their period charm and character.


Fluted pilasters run vertically down each side of the front, adorned with delicate gilt lining, at the top of each pilaster, fine gilt capitals.
