This elegant Regency mahogany military campaign chest made from richly figured mahogany, the chest showcases a lustrous patina developed over two centuries.


The chest is composed of two separate sections, allowing for ease of transport—an essential feature of campaign furniture designed for use by officers on military campaigns. The top section features a reeded top edge above two drawers, while the base has two full-width graduated drawers, all with inset brass campaign handles. The drawer fronts display striking mahogany grain patterns.


The sides are mounted with carrying handles and the chest stands on turned bun feet, which are typical of the Regency period and add a sense of balanced proportion to the piece.


In very good condition, ready for use.
