This fine 19th-century Victorian Military Campaign Secretaire Chest is a great model, crafted from rich, warm-toned mahogany with distinctive brass fittings. Designed for portability and durability, this chest is constructed in two sections, making it easy to transport—a hallmark of campaign furniture originally used by British military officers during their travels.


The chest features five drawers in total, with the top right drawer containing a well-concealed secretaire drawer. This drop-front compartment opens to reveal a beautifully fitted interior with five small drawers and three pigeonholes, ideal for storing documents, stationery, and personal effects. The interior is crafted with precision, incorporating delicate brass knobs and a classic scalloped arch detail.


Each drawer is adorned with recessed brass campaign-style handles, reinforcing the chest’s military heritage.
