Avventurina glass was invented in Murano in the 17th Century. It is produced by adding minute pieces of copper to the glass creating the illusion of suspended gold flecks


The Rugiodoso or dew technique consists of dusting the back of the glass with crushed glass particles to frost it or give the appearance of dew.
