Item Details

An early 19th century patent letter clip by Merry Phipson & Parker. This is an exceptional example of this famous desk accoutrement. It is the rarer, larger version, and based on the quality of the crisp surface casting, an early one at that (original patented/registered on October 3rd 1843). This one even has most of the original gilt lacquer on it. Still very usable with a strong steel spring.
