A rig of primitive pigeon decoys (being sold individually). These are so charming in their simplicity and practicality. Each one has been individually cut out from a flat piece of timber, with an accompanying flat stand, and are naively painted with basic bird markings. These were definitely working decoys, made by a hunter to 'flatpack' into his satchel in the field.



We think that these decoys actually have more folk art quality than the more intricately carved, commercially produced, examples. As they are handmade, they all slightly differ from each other.
