An impressive, well cast, iron stick stand in the Gothic Revival style. Stamped to reverse with Registration Mark and 'Falkirk'. This was most likely manufactured at the Carron Foundry in Falkirk. This particular example was produced in March 1872. Old cream paintwork, and evidence of earlier terracotta colours.
