Item Details

A beautiful antique lapis lazuli & gilt metal miniature casket, set on four ball feet. Palais Royal Manner. French, circa 1880.


The semi-precious lapis shows a wonderful deep blue colour and composition.

There are some slight surface marks and wear to the gilding commensurate with age. Two hairline openings to the base as shown in the last photograph. These are not visible when the box is displayed. One of the feet is slightly out of shape, making the box not sit quite level, please refer to photograph number 9 which shows one of the feet slightly raised.


The lid opens and closes perfectly.
