Item Details

An abstract composition in wax colours by Franz Belting (1908-2010) 1978. Signed and dated. Titled 'Hannover - projekt verm'.

Wonderfully detailed and in excellent condition. The original border has been kept as this would have been chosen by the artist. There are a few light marks to this. Newly framed in a koto wood charcoal-coloured frame, with specialist art glass.

Franz Belting was a multiple award-winning German artist, designer and graphic artist. Belting painted almost exclusively with wax paint. His work has been described critically as, "A world of imagination of its own...luminous, full of mystery and delicate transparency."

'Hannover - projekt verm' is labelled to the verso of the work, now not on show.
