Early 19th century small console table, featuring green alps marble, mahogany frieze & fluted tapering gilt beechwood legs. Continental. Circa 1820.


The table has lovely proportions. The verde alpi marble shows beautiful veining. The underside of the marble has had a strengthening piece added. There is a very fine hairline to the top, but the strengthening device appears only to be cautionary.


The console table shows wear to the finish on the mahogany and gilt, with water marks showing throughout the mahogany veneer and loss to the gilt painted finish.


The table stand very solid with no loose joints, sitting on ball castors.
