A superb iconic British statement chair - G-Plan “Housemaster” lounger armchair. Circa 1970.


Teak bent-ply design with oversized chrome plated brass T-back. The lounger's mechanism has light rocking motion and swivel action, and sits on the original chrome orbit castors.


The chair is very comfortable and has been re-worked from the original to a more sleek design. Reupholstered with a mix of feather filled and foam seating, the arm pads are foam. Re-covered in 100% light grey wool fabric. All complying with fire regulations.


The teak has been sympathetically re-finished in a shellac. It has a smooth waxed finish, but still retains a few light authentic marks to highlight its genuine heritage. The chrome on show does have some signs of use, with spot marks and a very light brass colouring. It still has a lovely shine.
