Georgian Westmoreland Antique Painted pine Linen Press Cupboard


A lovely example of a Cumbrian 18th century antique pine linen press cupboard, very well made and still with remnants of the original Georgian paint finish. Splits into two sections, the top two fielded, panelled cupboard doors open to show a shelved storage area and inside each door is decorated with interesting rosettes and awards from past owners. This antique painted pine linen press base stands on bracket feet and has two over three graduating drawers, unusually, the top drawer is double depth, so the two short drawers and the long one beneath are actually one large drawer. In very good condition throughout, the sides are well panelled and the top section has a lovely moulded cornice, all a very good colour. Westmoreland / Cumbrian and dates to around 1770.
