Massive Japanese 19th Century Antique Throne Armchair


This is a super quality very large scale 19th century antique Japanese Throne Chair, been in the same family since the twenties. It is in fabulous, very original condition and is a wonderful, original colour. Featuring a carved tiled Pagoda top with carved dragons along with high quality cloud carvings, cockerel carvings and fabulous carved dragon arm rests. The shaped slatted seat is surprisingly comfortable and this decorative Japanese and throne chair stands on four carved and shaped legs with a connecting stretcher. In superb, solid and very original condition. A wonderful piece.
