Born in Madrid in 1900, Gumersindo Sainz de Morales was an exceptional Spanish painter who spent much of his life living and working in Barcelona. Known for his magnificent oil paintings showing figures and scenes of daily life in his native Spain, the artist documented these moments with an undeniable magic and flair for capturing emotion. Work by this artist has enjoyed international success at auctions such as Bonham's.
