Pair of 19th century terracotta roundels, beautifully modelled in the classical style , strong faces with a lovely dry surface. Not stamped, but the construction, colour and quality is very similar to work by the celebrated Coade factory. They are probably by Blashfields of Stamford who continued this tradition of craftsmanship into the Victorian era.
