Item Details

Antique French gilt cushioned mirror, circa 1880, with egg and dart style outer frame and beaded inner frame linked at each corner with an elongated flower. The top of the mirror has a scrolling acanthus leaf cartouche with a fanned leaf in the centre and the base of the mirror has a smaller decoration of curled acanthus leaves with a central, raised, burnished oval. More curling acanthus leaves decorate each corner. The original glass is in very good condition, the central section is bevelled, and the mirror gives an excellent reflection.
