Item Details

Antique French oval mirror, circa 1880, with wide gilt frame decorated with a very delicate etched and punched design of flowers and leaves and a row of small beading around the sight edge. Where this mirror has been cleaned for more than 100 years, the original gilding has thinned to reveal the warm terracotta bole beneath. The original glass is in very good condition with just a few tiny age spots and gives an excellent reflection.
