Item Details

Antique French mirror, circa 1890, with four curves along the top. The wide, watergilt frame has a raised burnished gilt outcurving band towards the outside edge, which carries beautifully modelled, curled acanthus leaf decorations at each corner. The mirror is topped with a high, rococo style, cartouche of acanthus, palm and olive leaves with a few small flowers nestled amongst them, appearing to look as if it is being blown in the wind. The original mirror glass is in very good condition with just a little, light age and gives an excellent reflection.
