Small, antique, decorative French mirror, circa 1890, with ebonised and gilt metal frame. The outer frame has an overlapping acanthus leaf decoration and is finished in a warm rose gold leaf and the inner, oval, frame has an oval and diagonal leaf design and has a paler gilt finish. The mirror is topped with a curling acanthus leaf cartouche with central shell and, at each quarter where the two frames meet, there is a little gilt, rectangular, rosette. The original, bevelled, glass in every section is very eye-catching, in beautiful condition with just a gentle hint of patina at the back of the mirror and gives an excellent reflection.
