Item Details
A Mid 20th century Swedish still life painting of teapots. It is an early work by the muralist and environmental campaigner Agda Teresia Eufemia (Atti) Johansson (1917-2003) In good condition and in a solid unpainted wooden frame original to the work, there is a dab of oil paint on the left outer front face of the frame presumably left be the artist as it is identical to the painting colour. Her technique employs a satisfying thick texture, presumably achieved with a palette knife but nothing I've come across before. The painting is signed and dated 1955 and measures 19 x 22 ins (48 x 56 cms) unframed and 24 x 27 ins overall in its frame.(61 x 69 cms).
It is currently available to view and buy in our Cecil Court Branch in London. If you would like to try it on approval within the M25 please do otherwise come and visit us in the gallery - we have several hundred of our paintings on display and several thousand in stock!
