I think this is a really happy cushion. It's made from a Banjara kalchi or envelope bag in a madder dyed hand spun hand loomed cotton. The needle work is very skilled. I really like the use of colour in the couched stitches on the bag front and in the orange and green pom-poms that are alternated with large cowrie shells round the edge. I've backed the cushion with a plain linen, and there is an invisible zip fastener and feather pad.
