I was lucky enough to acquire this exquisite Turkish Ottoman textile. The embroidery depicting baskets of flowers is from the 2 ends of a hand-woven hand-spun linen towel. Its is exquisitely executed in a beautiful pallet of pinks, teal and olive green. The baskets that the flowers are standing in is a wonderful wirework that you can see through. Due to its age the beige linen has a patina and one or two faint stains which are only to be expected with its history, but in my opinion nothing too off-putting. I've mounted the embroideries on antique hemp over a stretched canvas.
