Item Details

This is a very pretty framed Ottoman textile dating to c1900. The embroidery is in silk and flat wire on fine hand spun, hand loomed linen. The colours of the silk are several tones of green, with blue, lilac, pink, teal and ruby red. The colours are so pretty. I've backed the textile onto antique hemp over a stretched canvas. There is a hanging wire on the back.
