Item Details

This is a lovely decorative but understated cushion. The ground textile is indigo dyed antique cotton. Several layers have been quilted together using a running stitch, that makes the design  depicting auspicious symbols of butterflies and bats amongst others. I've added a border of another old textile to make the cushion slightly larger. This is a hand loomed indigo from the Buyi minority, and I've used this for the back as well. There is a zip fastener and feather pad.
