These cushions are made from a vintage handloomed textile from the Songjiang weaving district of Shanghai. The textile is a medium weight cotton and would have been produced for work wear, bedding or  bride's dowry. The colours are a beautiful light and dark indigo check with pinstripes in red, green and white. The white yarn is also hand spun and its uneven thickness gives the fabric character. The cushions are a nice big size, with piped edges from another Songjiang textile There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
