https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/penny-worrallThese striking cushions are made from a thick handwoven sekomandi ikat from the Toraja people, South Sulawesi. The sekomandi ikat is coloured with natural dyes in wonderful indigo, terracotta, light beige and dark brown. Sekomandi are used to decorate traditional houses in Sulawesi, for ceremonies such as weddings, to celebrate the cycle of life. The thick cotton used for the textile makes it ideal to use for cushions and upholstery. I've backed these cushions with a heavy linen in a complimentary terracotta colour. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
