Item Details

These cushions are made from a contemporary handwoven ikat from Biboki, Timor. The ikat is coloured with natural dye, and is several shades of a beautiful madder reddy brown. It was probably coloured with morinder which is a relative of the madder plant. The ikats are backed with endek, another traditional handwoven textile this time from Bali, the colours in tones of reddy brown. There are handmade tassels at the corners, zip fasteners and feather pads. I think they are gorgeous!
